How do we create anticipation and excitement even before our event begins?

When participation starts before everyone arrives
When it’s packaged to pique interest
When attendees actually look forward to another meeting
When you can’t wait to open the box |

The only thing we enjoy more than a gift itself, is trying to anticipate what’s inside. We examine the box. We shake the box. We guess what’s in the box. That sense of excitement and anticipation is part of our culture. It’s what we do for every client.

We created anticipation for an AT&T Wireless National Sales Meeting. The direction was to focus on the company’s new future in communication by reflecting on the strength of its past. Each participant received a soup can 2 weeks prior to the meeting. The custom-designed label carried the meeting theme - Open Up to the Possibilities. Using a classic, hand-crank can opener, the recipient opened the possibilities: a meeting invitation, logistics, a smaller can, a ball of string and a challenge. During the meeting, the challenge was to use the old “phones” to make the longest, long-distance call while receiving the caller’s message with the highest accuracy. The winner not only won a cool prize, but incredible bragging rights and special recognition at the Awards Banquet.
